Guy Opperman recently visited the plastics manufacturer, Berry Global near Haltwhistle and praised the firm for providing over a hundred local jobs.

The firm are looking to recruit locally.

Hexham MP, Guy Opperman has visited Talking Matters Northumberland’s Hexham Office on ‘Time to Talk Day’.

Mr Opperman met with Service Manager, Louise Stubbs and members of the team to discuss the importance of mental health and wellbeing.

Tynedale MP, Guy Opperman has said that Haltwhistle Academy Primary School is going from strength to strength.

The MP recently visited the new school with Haltwhistle County Councillor, Ian Hutchinson.

The £2.65m Tynedale school officially opened its doors in October 2021.

Hexham MP, Guy Opperman has written to BT and the Digital Minister after concerns have been raised over the switch to digital phone lines.

Hexham MP, Guy Opperman has praised residents for their ‘excellent’ contributions at meetings held on the response to Storm Arwen.

The MP has also said that residents came forward with recommendations that will help improve community resilience ahead of future storm events.
