Guy organises public meetings with companies following Storm Arwen
Hexham MP, Guy Opperman has announced a series of public meetings across Tynedale and Ponteland following Storm Arwen. The meetings will take place throughout January, and open to the public, and will include representatives from Northern Powergrid, Northumbrian Water and Northumberland County Council across his constituency in January.
The MP has said that the public deserve answers to why it took so long for water and power supplies to be restored following Storm Arwen, and what plans are in place to ensure such disruption does not happen again.
Mr. Opperman had previously called for compensation to be paid quickly to affected customers before Christmas.

These lengths of outages should never happen again, and I will be doing all I can to fight for constituents who were affected.’’
