Local MP Guy Opperman and Prudhoe Councillor Gordon Stewart have presented Prudhoe’s Kiran Bell with a Coronavirus Community Champion Award.
Coronavirus Community Champions Awards are nominated by local residents to businesses and individuals who have gone above and beyond to support the local community throughout the pandemic.
Prudhoe’s Kiran Bell was nominated for the award for her work to support the community in Boots, ensuring the vulnerable members of the community continued to receive medication and essential supplies.
Guy Opperman MP said:
‘It was brilliant to present this award to Kiran. Her team and her have worked tremendously hard throughout the pandemic to support members of our community’.
Cllr Gordon Stewart said:
‘Prudhoe is a vibrant modern town with a long history and great community spirit, which has really helped us all get through the pandemic. Kiran has been there at the helm supporting our community.’
Kiran Bell Said:
‘It is a honour to receive my award and to be recognised for the hard work my team and I have put in throughout this difficult year. I thoroughly enjoy my job being a friendly face on the High St where I have worked for over 40 years. Turning my customers into friends.’
