Conservatives oust Labour in Prudhoe

Labour have been wiped out in Tynedale in the Northumberland County Council Elections.

The party lost both its seats in Prudhoe, as the Conservatives gained ground. The Conservatives also took the Bywell seat for the first time.

Sitting Labour councillor Eileen Burt was defeated by Tory Ken Stow in Prudhoe North. And in Prudhoe South, Glenn Simpson trailed in third place between Tory Gordon Stewart. Karen Quinn took the Bywell seat with a majority of over 200.
